Description
“Make Your Mark” by joining the Ironmark Team as a Press Operator! This job produces printed media for the organization through use of printing presses and high-volume digital printing equipment. He/She will perform associated printing tasks and binding and/or finishing work and will ensure quality control measures by pulling samples for quality testing. He/She will be a part of a team focusing on delivery exceptional results to our customers and finding ways to continually improve our business and processes.
Essential Responsibilities
The Inkjet Web Press Operator sets up, adjusts, and operates a press that prints books and other like printed materials.
Precisely follow prepared job and work instructions and guidelines.
Comply with specific production schedule as outlined by procedure and maintain production standards as outlined.
Reviews job jacket for specifications, customer samples, and proofs if furnished.
Inspects material during production run and adjusts machine as required.
Performs quality control during runs to ensure product standards and gives samples to supervisor for approval.
Provides maintenance and/or minor repair of equipment.
Performs complex tasks and completes assignments with little or no assistance.
Fully proficient in discipline. Works under limited supervision with latitude for independent judgment.
Education and Experience Requirements
H.S. Diploma required.
1-2 years preferred experience but will train qualified candidate.
Good visual skills and the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure are necessary.
Mechanical background preferred.
Inkjet Operator: 1 year (Preferred)
Physical Requirements
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Regularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlessly.
· Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects.
· Regularly see details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
· Regularly speak clearly so listeners can understand.
· Regularly understand the speech of another person.
· Frequently work in on projects that require deadlines.
· Regularly lift 5-10 pounds.
· Work beyond normal working hours and weekend work may be required.
